Duo Design's striking visual identity for Kinross makes a bold and intriguing mark. Over the past seven years Duo Design have worked closely with the owners, first creating a bold logo and creative brand to launch Kinross vineyard and boutique hotel and then implementing a vast array of marketing materials, signage, print and digital advertising, editorial and media articles. As a category redefining tourism venture in Central Otago’s iconic Gibbston wine valley, Duo Design's first task was researching and creating a compelling design strategy for Kinross. Our original logo design harks back to the era of the gold fields and reflects the heritage and pioneering spirit of Scotsman Thomas Kinross. A rustic gold X literally marks the spot where he lived as postmaster during Central Otagos' legendary gold rush era. Gold was lodged with the government through Kinross, with many men using a simple X in place of a formal signature.
Duo Design's creative work for Kinross includes logo design and branding, brand strategy, site signage, media planning, advertising, brochure ware, trade stand design work, Mailchimp newsletters, wine bottle design, wine case packaging, trade display materials.
